So... The time has finally come. After 5+ years of dabbling in 3dcg and creating dolcett comics, I feel like I need a break - I believe it's called a "burnout"... Also, the recent "purge" on platforms like pixiv, deviantart and gumroad, and the demise of the most popular dolcett forum have drastically reduced my presence, resulting in much less popularity and sales (over a 50% drop). I'm no longer able to sustainably produce these comics as they consume an absurd amount of money in assets, hardware, and time, and honestly the last 4 releases haven't made enough to just break even. I'm going to pursue new ventures in other artistic spaces, not related to my usual niche. I just wanted to say how thankful I am for your continuous support throughout these years. I will be back some day - that's for sure, but... I feel like I deserve a long vacation from making comics 🙂
That said, It's not a "definitive" goodbye. I will return, some day. Stronger and more skilled than ever 🙂
Also, all my content will be still available for purchase on my Ko-Fi store, and my official dolcettacademy.com website will be operational as usual. However, if you wish to complete your Dolcett Academy collection, it might be a good time to do it now - I have no idea how long my Ko-Fi store will be up, and honestly it's my last resort in terms of places to sell my comics.
